Stay home if you are sick, except to get medical care. Learn what to do if you are sick.

Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds especially after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.

Put distance between yourself and other people if COVID-19 is spreading in your community.

Thank you to the students at Kearney Elementary School for inviting our Communications Division and Captain Akin to visit and talk about the do's and don'ts of calling 9-1-1

Members of the Clay County Sheriff’s Department, Kearney Fire Department, and #KearneyMoPolice Department, were honored to provide a police escort to... Harry, a Kearney Missouri World War II Navy Veteran. The #HonorFlight Network is a non-profit organization that provides transportation to Washington D.C. for Veterans, giving them an opportunity to visit the memorials honoring them for their service and sacrifices for our Country. Even though Harry had an extremely long day with his trip to Washington D.C., he was all smiles and quite surprised with his police escort home. Thanks for your service Harry !!!

Captain Will Akin joined the Clay County Sheriff’s Office in 2013 as a Lieutenant in Field Operations.
