Beginning the first week of February, COVID-19 vaccination will become more widely available in Clay County. North Kansas City Hospital and Liberty Hospital have together been named as one of the state's 16 high throughput vaccinators.
With the help of community partners in an effort known as Operation Safe, approximately 4,500 people every other week will be able to be vaccinated.
The first vaccination clinics took place Feb. 4, 5 and 6 at the Cerner World Headquarters in North Kansas City, Mo. Across these three days, Operation Safe was able to vaccinate 4,949 people.
